Re-Imagining Our Favorite Shows With Color

On the heels of our first article, "On the Lack of Everyday Black Girls on Television," Maya had the brilliant idea to re-create the promo pictures for some of our favorite TV shows, but with casts that were more diverse; specifically with black female leads.  In other words, we "re-imagined" what TV would look like if it had more faces that looked like ours and our friends' at the forefront. So, we gathered some friends, did some thrift shopping, and had a photo shoot. This is what we came up with...
